Following the success of the TechCard Workshop Pack range we are excited to add the Pneumatic Hoist Workshop Pack to the line. The pack builds ten working hoists powered by twin pneumatic syringe pistons and the models are an excellent demonstration of a simple machine powered by the force of moving air.  The Pneumatic Hoist Workshop Pack contains all the parts needed to build ten working hoists. The models are simple to build and an ideal demonstration of a working pneumatic system. The hoist is a simple machine that incorporates hinges and levers and demonstrates how machines alter the forces applied to them to do useful work. The models also demonstrate that air though invisible is a substance and can be used to transmit force and make things move. The workshop pack can be used as the focus of a STEM activity and is also ideal as the basis of a DT project where the models can be assembled and evaluated and then extended into a full design and make task.
